Chaired by Katharine Silva & Lisa Donaldson 2008-2009 school year When children attend a live performance or demonstration, something magical can happen. A great storyteller can make real a time from the past that previously seemed remote, and connect historical lives with our own. A singer-songwriter with toe-tapping melodies can deliver a message about courage and conviction that truly resonates. And the excitement created during a performance can fuel a child to want to read more, talk about it, try it her/himself, and imagine new possibilities. This is why the PTO is committed to bringing professional performers to our school.
